August 06, 2026 Award-Winning Kordz R.4 48Gbps HDMI Cable Now Available in Australia

Engineered for critical HDMI reliability, Kordz’ professional-grade R.4 48Gbps HDMI solution available from Kordz Australia, supports precision rack build and demanding marine environments.

Melbourne, Australia (August 2026) – Kordz Australia has announced the local availability of the Kordz R.4 48Gbps Rack and Marine Passive HDMI Cable, a compact, LSZH solution engineered for high-density equipment racks and vibration-prone marine installations.

Representing a significant evolution of Kordz’ professional HDMI portfolio and the next-generation successor to the widely trusted R.3 18Gbps HDMI Cable, the new R.4 48Gbps Rack and Marine Passive HDMI Cable supports the full 48Gbps HDMI 2.1b specified bandwidth, enabling uncompressed 8K video transmission and the complete HDMI 2.1b feature set, including eARC, VRR and QMS.

“R.4 gives Australian integrators a 48Gbps HDMI cable designed specifically around the realities and challenges faced in dense racks and marine installations,” says Josh Yammouni, Product Manager at Kordz Australia. “Building on the proven success of our R.3 HDMI Cable with new technology innovations, we’re able to offer a product above and beyond the previous generation R. Series. Its compact construction, secure connector retention and enhanced shielding all support cleaner installations and greater confidence in environments where access, unpredictable movement and electrical interference can create additional risk.”

Designed specifically for dense equipment racks, the R.4 features compact die-cast connectors, a slimmer cable profile, and precise 0.3m length increments from 0.3m to 3.0m, to support clean cable dressing, improved airflow, and efficient routing. A full metal internal casing combined with a class-leading 95% copper braid shield wrapping over a 125% coverage aluminium foil shield, enhances EMI rejection and projection in electrically noisy and sensitive environments.

For marine compliance-driven applications, R.4 incorporates a secure 2kg retention HDMI connector to withstand vibration and movement, together with a full Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) cable construction that complies with IEC60332, IEC60754, and IEC61034 standards.

“As expected from Kordz, each cable is individually tested and is certified to the DPL Labs’ rigorous Enhanced 48Gbps Reference Standard, providing integrators with extra assurance of quality, reliability and performance in demanding AV installations.”
