The MU-STIX-A is a small form factor 48Gbps HDMI analyser engineered for use with Murideo’s STIX evaluation platform. Ideal for large scale testing of AVoIP or HDMI Distribution systems, and light-duty in-field pass/fail signal transmission verification.

Initially developed as an internal quality control tool for AV distribution manufacturers, STIX was conceived as an efficient testing methodology for dynamically transmitting, receiving, and logging test sources through 1000+ endpoints at the same time. Replacing the need for hundreds of Blu-ray machines or streaming devices, and video displays.

The MU-STIX-A onboard mini-OLED screen shows the source information parameters when connected to the HDMI output of a device. Displaying the source picture, resolution, bit rate, colour space, and HDCP version, plus live monitoring statistics.

STIX enables rapid yet thorough in-house signal throughput confirmation before site deployment to verify that endpoint devices are correctly functioning, appropriately responding to programming, and aligned with system performance parameters.

While the MU-STIX-G with its male HDMI connector negates the need for an additional HDMI cable to rapidly test a display device, HDBaseT extension, or AVoIP TX endpoints, the MU-STIX-GF with its female HDMI port facilitates testing in tight spaces via HDMI cable extension.

Murideo’s STIX Controller unit (MU-STIX-CTL) is the central hub of the STIX ecosystem, a 1RU controller built to coordinate and automate HDMI testing at scale. Through direct USB communication, it can trigger and configure STIX generators, collect closed-loop feedback from STIX analysers, and streamline every part of the testing workflow. The rear panel includes 48x USB Type-A ports, providing both data and power to connected STIX devices, eliminating the need for external adapters and keeping racks clean and organised.

A browser-based interface makes it easy to manage one or multiple cascading MU-STIX-CTL units from anywhere on the network. At full capacity, up to 20 controllers can be daisy-chained, supporting as many as 960 connected STIX devices. The interface provides detailed HDMI signal information from each attached STIX device, supports full remote control, and displays real-time video thumbnails of generated signals.
